Every Wednesday from 10 am – 2 pm, PCR conducts a food drive where we distribute groceries to more than 300 families weekly outside our headquarters at 1418 Good Hope Rd SE, Washington DC.
We are grateful to Bread for the City for generously partnering with us on our food drive to meet this critical need, as the global pandemic continues adds additional challenges to our already-struggling community.
Everly Wednesday afternoon from 3 – 5 pm, PCR distributes Narcan, face masks, water and condoms outside our headquarters at 1418 Good Hope Rd SE, Washington DC.
We provide this service as part of our harm reduction approach in areas that are frequented by substance abuse in Wards 5, 7 & 8. The continuing Covid-19 pandemic has severely impacted these already-struggling populations.
PCR distributes smart phones to indigent and homeless clients. In 2020, we distributed 86 phones and paid the monthly fees so these community members struggling with mental health issues and addiction could contact their families and call for help in emergencies.
As the Covid-19 pandemic continues to impact these most vulnerable populations, the need for this service is growing. PCR is here to fill the gap.
