In May, PCR completed production of our new documentary film, Isolated Hope: Navigating the New Normal, which we created in partnership with the DC Department of Behavioral Health. The film premiered at a gala in-person red carpet event on May 20th at the Miracle Theater in Washington, DC.

In the film, members of our community share their loss, grief, trauma and resiliency during the Covid-19 pandemic, and look ahead to our “new normal.”

Directed by Pamela Vines and her team at Vines Films, the documentary shares the unprecedented experiences of DC residents, businesses and communities as we navigated and now are emerging from the Covid-19 pandemic together.

PCR has also produced three Public Service Announcements (PSAs) on these same themes of navigating our new normal in the time of Covid-19, offering hope and support to struggling members of our community. Directed by Pamela Vines of Troop P.R. and Vines Films, with big thanks to voice actor Gina Brown and talk show host Darius Stanton for supporting this project.

Listen to the PSA’s here. They also aired on local Radio One stations throughout the DC area during Mental Health Awareness Month in May.
